Today we will write about Japanese relocation. You have read about what happened to Japanese Americans during WW II, specifically after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.Before you write, consider the following questions:

- What is your opinion about what happened?

- Do you think this type of hatred or fear of a specific immigrant group could occur again in this country?

- If so, which immigrant group do you think this could happen to? Why?

The attack of Pearl Harbor was something treasonous. U.S. sent a letter to Japan because they were conquering many countries in Asia, but they were so aggressive and cruel. Japan answers the letter saying “go to a meeting to talk about that” and U.S. said no, only was a comment. Then Japan said to the White House, we need to meet urgently and when the two Japanese diplomatic were arriving to the White House, Pearl Harbor was massacred for Japanese planes and ships. After that all the Japanese Americans were relocated to prison like camp. In U.S. began the Japanese hysteria and the people began to be racist. The persecution of the Japanese was because the U.S. government thought all the Japanese people could be espies. The Japanese kids were harmless, but they thought that could be little spies. There are many ways of racism and was one of them. U.S. bigotry that attack and after that the real war began.

-In my opinion the Japanese thought they were invincible because they were conquered many countries in Asia and then they want America.

-This type of hatred or fear of a specific immigrant group is happening again in this country with the people who seem Arabic as a result of 9-11.

-If I were Japanese during the WWII, I don’t know my reaction because they didn’t have election, they were relocated only for be Japanese.

-The racism is still happening in this country, because the American society don’t want more immigrants in this land, because they said we are an charge for the economy of this country, but at the same time we are the support of this country.

Is war necessary?
Why?

In my opinion the war is not necessary becasuse the war only bring more war and revenge against innocent people. There exist differents ways to stop the war. How?
1- International sanction, all the countries through the U.N. can to block the economy of the country who is causing the war. Today the most important thing for the country is they economy. If every body block the economy of the country who is causing the war, that country will see forced to stop the war because his economy will go down and the peolpe will go to demand domestic things like food, health, employment opposite to go to war.
2-Embargo, the U.N. can to enseize the industries who are working in war goods or things importants for the war.
3-Disarm, the U.N. can to confiscate the arms of the country who is threatening with go to war.

My spring break was bored because I can not do nothing because I had to work. The time I was suposed to be at school I passed sleeping, all the time sleeping and working. I am workcoholic, i like so much to work.

Do you think what happened during the Holocaust (and what you have read in the book "Night") could happen again? Discuss why.

Here are some questions to consider:

1. Are there countries today that are experiencing, or have recently experienced, a similar horror?
2. Could this happen to Jewish people again?
3. Could it happen to another specific race or religion of people?
4. Is there still intolerance for religions that are different than Christianity?

What happened during the Holocaust, I think couldn't happen again in any country, I mean, is happening now in many countries but not at the same level like the Holocaust because this was the extreme.

Good morning every body, today I'm going to tell the historie of yesterday. we meet the class of the Bronx Community College, we have a breakfast together in the Adam Clayton Powell Jr building (our headquarter), was very funny because we knew new students from another college and during the breakfast my compatriot Francia went to open a soda and this exploited weting every body around with RED soda. Then we went to the Metropolitan Museum, we divided in goups of four, two from our class and two from the Bronx C.C., we had to made a assigment there, we had to choose one piece of art and another from the photograph exhibit and describe with details. My partners were Hussainiat (the Pakistan girl), the guy from Venezuela and Irina. The experience was really good, I liked a lot because I like to know new people and new places. The Musueum was very interesting, the have a very good exhibition there. I'm planning go again by myself.

We are reading the book "Night" in class, Night is an autobiographical vovella by Elie Weisel based on his experience of being deported from the village of Siget in Transylvania to the German death camp at Auschwitz. While child he had a very strong belief in God and religion but when he was deported to Auschwitz everything began to change. His belief come and back with the days becasuse he cannot belive what is going on in Auschwitz. The German soldier killed people for any reason, they torment the Jews. The German was very cruel. The Jews people were deshumanize, they were forced to work and the people who couldn't work were killed. At be beginig his father was a cultured and unsentimental man worried only by the business but while they were deported he converted to a weak man and Elie was angry for that.

Well, Good morning everybody !!!

Today is friday 24, March. I'm going to summarize my week. The Monday I hab a very busy day because I went to the CLIP from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then I went to work at 3:00 p.m. to midnight. The Tuesday I went to the CLIP at the same hour, but I didn't have t0 work because the Tuesday is my day off so I sleeped all the day after school. The Wednesday and the Tuesday was the same thing with the monday, and today, Friday, I'm at BMCC work in my blog. This was a bored week, but very productive because I learned more english and saved money.

Well, I have to introduce myself:

I am 22 years old, I born in Dominican Republic and I did all my studies there, but now I'm living in Manhattan studing english at BMCC and working in Champion Parking. I have a lot of friends, but all of them are in D.R.. Now I have some friends in the enghlish class. I like to listen music like rock, reggaeton, reagge, electronic, etc. My favorite books are "Los masones y templarios" (spanish) and "Angels and Demons", and my favorites movies are " Googfellas", "Scarface", "Casino", "The godfather trilogy", etc.

I like to go to the beach, the surf and I'm thinking to practice kite surf.
